Za-2.1– Official Case Closure Letter from Styrelsen for Patientklager (2025)
Regarding the 2014 complaint on Zifu Lin’s death (Case No. 2022-10901)
On 21 January 2025, the Danish Patient Complaints Board
(Styrelsen for Patientklager) confirmed that the case
regarding the death of Zifu Lin (Case No. 2022-10901) had
been definitively closed. for The final decision was made on 17 November 2022 by the Appeals Board PatientPatienterstatningen).
Compensation (Ankenævnet for
The board stated it would not reopen the case based on the
applicant’s 2024 submission, and that the decision was final
and cannot be appealed.
The only legal option remaining is to file a civil lawsuit
within 6 months of the notification.
The board clarified that a request for reopening would only
be considered if entirely new and materially significant
evidence was presented.
