In May 2025, while I was visiting family in China, my Danish mobile number suddenly stopped functioning. I was unable to send or receive text messages, receive bank or government verification codes, or contact family members. The number had been regularly billed, with no unpaid balance and no prior warning or notice of suspension.
At the time, I was in an international travel situation and heavily dependent on mobile communication and identity verification, making the disruption especially serious in practical terms.
Based on the currently available information, I cannot definitively determine the technical cause or source of responsibility for this communication breakdown. However, in practical effect, it created a state of “information isolation,” during which I was deprived of access to notifications, verification systems, outside contact, and emergency communication.
While such a disruption may not constitute an overt threat in itself, its real-world effect carries strong elements of isolation, control, and psychological pressure—especially during a sensitive period of ongoing complaints and international movement.
This event is therefore documented as a technical isolation incident and a potential pressure signal, to be assessed together with other irregular disruptions and contact anomalies in the broader timeline.
